How they met.

They've known each other their whole lives - having gone to the same school from elementary through high school. They've been best friends since probably 6th grade, on and off throughout the years. Throughout their friendship and relationship, music brought them together. Andy would make mixes on CDs and Emily had a whole pile of them she'd play in the car. They decided to take the leap into a relationship 5 years ago, right before her senior year of college where Andy would drive down to Purdue almost every weekend that year, even when if Emily had to work.

How he asked.

They had a long conversation and agreed to get married, so she knew he had the ring, just didn't know when he'd give it to her. He proposed July 2022 when they were at her parent's lake house!

Andy and Emily wanted to capture the day from their perspective. The two of them each carried film cameras to freeze every memory! Make sure to talk to your photographer about this before the day!

What's most important?

"FOOD! Also budget, also staying true to US, regardless of family and society opinions. We wanted the day to feel authentic and meaningful to us."

"The day was perfect top to bottom. I couldn't be more grateful to our amazing vendors and for Cassie and her team for taking care of us. As a bride, I was blissfully unaware of any snags in the day. From mine and Andy's perspective, the day went smoothly."

"As transplants into Duluth from the Chicago area, Lake Superior has been so special and meaningful to us. We love the beach and being near the big lake just feels so grounding. It only made sense to not only get married there, but also show off Duluth to our families that came in from out of town to celebrate!"

The Final Score.

"It might sound hard to believe, but there was not a single element of our wedding day that we would change. The food was absolutely amazing. We have the best memories dancing the night away, spending time on the beach with friends, and showing off Duluth to our families. Cassie is an event planner and coordinator you want to have in your corner. She takes immense care of her clients."

Newlywed Tip.

"It's easier said than done, but remember to do what YOU want to do. It's YOUR wedding and you deserve to have the day you want. We thankfully were reminded of this by Cassie throughout the process, but I think it's always something that should be in your mind. Staying true to you and your person is the most important goal when planning a wedding. We did, and our day couldn't have been more perfect."
