How they met.

We met our Freshman year at Winona State in November 2015. When headed home for Thanksgiving, we both happened to be in the same car, driven by a stranger, via the ride board on campus. Over the 2.5-hour drive, we started to talk and eventually friended each other on Facebook. After texting nonstop over Christmas break, we officially started dating in January 2016 once back for the spring semester.

How he asked.

"We're shivering just thinking about it!" They had booked their annual ski trip to Lutsen, MN (a place near and dear to Michaela's heart), and decided to "treat ourselves" (so Michaela thought) to a ski in-ski out room on the mountain. On a -30 degree morning, Jack wanted to go outside together and take in the view of the mountain before getting down on one knee!

They then spent the rest of the day skiing in frigid temps before cozying up to a fireplace and drinking Castle Danger beer that night to celebrate.

A current trend is having beers passed out instead of a flower girl. We love getting people excited, but most laws require all alcohol to be served by the bartender. Try coozies instead! Michaela and Jack had their ushers pass out Castle Danger coozies to guests to take as a favor!

What's most important?

Ask any of their friends, and they will tell you that Michaela is the planner of every friend group she's in. When it came time to plan our wedding, it was no surprise that was one of the priorities: the wedding needed to run smoothly, and but Michaela did not want to be the one calling the shots on the day of.

"Watching everything we've spent months planning for slowly come together was so rewarding. Add in the obvious fact that we had a room filled with people that we loved, and it truly was a very special day!"

The Garden's price was unbeatable, relative to other venues, and the location made it perfect for all of the pictures we wanted to take! It fits the romantic and modern vibe.

The Final Score

From the moment we spoke with Cassondra, we knew she was the right fit. Her attention to detail, confidence, and approachability right off the bat made her stand out. Coupled with the fact our venue recommended her, it was a no-brainer that we wanted to work with Greene Frame Events. Choosing Greene Frame Events was without a doubt one of the best decisions we made in planning our wedding.
